Plenty of buzz around the OWA and Bowman Single Barrel. I decided to allow the bottles to be split up rather than be traded as a Lot. This opened many more doors and again I was looking at the bigger picture of this project. This also began to complicate things a little more with how I tracked each trade. Obviously manageable and still fun, this trade really started a string of trades that I had no idea would work out. But again, I’m getting too far ahead of myself.

The OWA was traded for an EH Taylor Small Batch.

The Bowman SiB was traded for a Larceny Barrel Proof B521.

Overall: First and foremost, the presentation of the package sent by Holladay Distilling was second to none! I appreciate the opportunity to give this a fair review.

Let's get to my overall impression here. This was a remarkable sipper. The flavors I mentioned above all fall in line with what I enjoy but it was actually the finish that won me over. Lingering warmth and packed with the sweet, yet spiced experience has me thinking I now need to find the perfect cigar to pair. At six years, I knew I'd be getting some delicious oak and I wasn't wrong. The perfect balance of sweet, tannic and spice. I'm looking forward to setting up a trip to get to Missouri and check out the distillery in person.

Of course, the Stagg Jr Batch 15 was going to raise a few eyebrows and it certainly did. I wanted to trade whatever bottles I received as a package, but later learned this tactic wasn’t the best way. I’m getting ahead of myself. I did trade the Stagg and the Bourye for another pair. Some may think this trade was a step back but I had a vision and wanted to capitalize where I could while still helping someone out. I ended up receiving a Weller 107 along with a Bowman Single Barrel. Retail valuations were fairly close so we shook hands and closed out deal number 6.

Just a quick recap, a JTS Brown BiB has landed me this OWA and Bowman SiB after 6 trades. How far do you think this can go? A little secret…this got popular quick and there are quite a few more trades to announce 😉🥃
